Frequently asked Questions

1. What is direct mail?

Direct mail is advertisement mail, legal notifications, surveys or any other mail that tries to solicit a response, inform or increase your company name recognition.

2. Does a newly purchased mail list have 100% good addresses?

The fact is, 10% or more of any purchased list, whether brand new or not, will have bad addresses.  Main Street Power Mail offers data services that reduce this number prior to processing your postage and service charge.  By doing so, your response percentage increases and you save money.

3.  Aren't there better ways to spend my advertising dollars rather than "junk mail"?

First of all, lets address the "junk mail" theory.  Direct mail has gotten somewhat of a "black eye" over the last several years.  However, try to remember the last time you walked out to your mailbox, opened it, and nothing was in there.  Didn't you think to yourself, "what's wrong"?  Is it a holiday or did everyone just forget me today?" The truth is, everyone really likes to get mail, and, when they don't, everyone is at least a little disappointed.  Secondly, mail is the most easily targeted form of advertising.  It is as easy as defining your target audience and then allowing Main Street Power Mail to provide a list that matches your criteria.  You won't get that with any other form of advertising.
